De Hoop Collection’s popular Wine, Whales and Music event is proud to add a fourth musician to the weekend’s delights. Get ready for the sounds, sights and tastes of De Hoop!
Jill Kemp, a London-based recorder player will be joining the program as part of her visit to South Africa.
Having played since the age of four, Jill is a passionate musician who has performed in some of the worlds leading venues including Carnegie Hall in New York. During her time in South Africa, she plans on teaching music to children in Hamburg, Eastern Cape, as well as holding a number of performances in and around Johannesburg and Cape Town.
With performers from the Johannesburg Philharmonic, Malané Hofmeyr-Burger on flute, Peta Ann Holdcroft on cello, Marjan Vonk on viola and Irina Tsonif and Ivo Ivanov on violin, already on board for the weekend’s festivities, music lovers can look forward to a fabulous time spent soaking up the sounds; tastes with delicious food, a chocolate workshop and local wines; and the sights of the Southern Right Whales as we celebrate Whale Season at De Hoop Collection.
