The De Hoop Collection, situated in the De Hoop Nature Reserve, a short three hours’ drive from Cape Town offers a pristine nature reserve, a Ramsar listed vlei, wide open spaces, beaches, whale-watching, coastal fynbos and teeming animal and birdlife, plus a wide range of accommodation that includes various self-catering options and a recent addition – a newly restored and refurbished Villa. De Mond Villa with five ensuite bedrooms, awesome interior décor, incredible views, a boma, a swimming pool and overlooking the beautiful Ramsar vlei, home to spectacular bird life, where wild bush pigs, otters, Rock Dassies and herds of Eland can be spotted, even sightings of leopard tracks. De Mond Villa will be one of the properties on the new De Hoop slackpacking trail which is currently being designed. This will be a fully catered and guided 3 to 5 night hike for groups of up to 10. It will include parts of the iconic whale trail route and other spectacular highlights of De Hoop.
